During last night’s Grammys ceremony, the OG Nas joined Lil Nas X to perform “Rodeo,” the latest single from X’s Grammy-nominated EP 7. Nas lended his New York flavor to the country bop.
X was also joined by BTS, Billy Ray Cyrus, Diplo, and Mason Ramsey. It was a big night for the 20-year-old rapper/pop star who was nominated for a total of seven awards but ultimately won two for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance and Best Music Video for his platinum single “Old Town Road.”
In the beginning of his performance, X honored the late Kobe Bryant by draping his jersey on over a chair in the middle of his set. Kobe’s untimely death on Sunday left a somber ambience over the ceremony which was held in the very place that the prolific NBA all star spent much of his 20-year career, the Staples Center.
